Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how ReadyTrack ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website at https://readytrack.app/ and related services (collectively, the "Service"). ReadyTrack is a pre-show backing track preparation tool that analyzes your audio tracks for live-performance risks and exports gig-ready files. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account Information. Name, email address, and password when you create an account. If you sign in through a social provider (e.g., Google, GitHub), we receive your name, email, and profile image from that provider.
- Audio Files. Backing tracks you upload for analysis and export. These files are stored temporarily for processing and delivery.
- Payment Information. When you purchase an export package, payment is processed by our third-party payment provider. We receive your billing name, email, and transaction ID. We do not store your full card number, expiration date, or CVV on our servers.
- Communications. Messages you send to our support email or through in-app feedback.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data. Pages visited, features used, session duration, and interaction patterns within the Service.
- Device and Browser Data. IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, and screen resolution.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies. We use cookies for session management, authentication, and analytics. See Section 9 for details.
- Referral Data. The URL that referred you to ReadyTrack and UTM parameters, used to understand how users discover the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide the Service, including audio analysis, track processing, and gig-ready file export.
- Process purchases and deliver export packages (ZIP files with processed audio, setlist PDF, and FOH notes).
- Manage your account, authenticate sessions, and enforce access controls.
- Send transactional emails: purchase confirmations, export-ready notifications, and password resets.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- Improve the Service by analyzing usage patterns and identifying bugs.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your audio files to train machine learning models. Your backing tracks are processed solely to deliver the analysis and export features you requested.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your data under these legal bases:
- Contract Performance. Processing your audio files and delivering exports is necessary to fulfill the service you purchased.
- Legitimate Interests. Usage analytics, fraud prevention, and service improvement, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent. Marketing emails, if you opt in. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal Obligation. Retaining transaction records as required by tax and financial regulations.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these situations:
- Service Providers. Stripe (payment processing), cloud storage providers (temporary file hosting), and email delivery services. Each provider processes data under contract and is prohibited from using it for their own purposes.
- Legal Requirements. When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ReadyTrack, our users, or the public.
- Business Transfers. If ReadyTrack is acquired, merged, or sells substantially all of its assets, your information may transfer to the new owner. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- Aggregated Data. We may share aggregated, de-identified statistics (e.g., total exports processed) that cannot identify any individual.
5. International Data Transfers
ReadyTrack operates from servers that may be located outside your country of residence. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we ensure transfers to countries without an adequacy decision are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
6. Data Retention
- Audio Files. Paid project files are retained for 30 days after the most recent export. Free project files are retained for 7 days. After the retention period, files are permanently deleted by an automated cleanup process.
- Account Data. Retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., transaction records for tax compliance).
- Transaction Records. Purchase history and payment metadata are retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax and financial reporting requirements.
- Usage Logs. Anonymized or deleted within 90 days of collection.
7. Your Privacy Rights
GDPR Rights (EEA, UK, Switzerland)
You have the right to: access your personal data, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and receive your data in a portable format. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. If you believe we have not addressed your concern, you may file a complaint with your local data protection authority.
CCPA Rights (California)
California residents have the right to: know what personal information we collect and how it is used, request deletion of personal information, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, contact [email protected]. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Other Jurisdictions
If your local laws grant additional privacy rights, we will honor them. Contact us and specify the right you wish to exercise.
8. Automated Processing
ReadyTrack uses automated audio analysis to detect silence gaps, volume inconsistencies, missing count-ins, and other live-performance risks in your uploaded tracks. This processing is purely technical (signal analysis, not profiling) and does not produce decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you. You can review all analysis results before deciding whether to purchase an export.
9. Cookies and Tracking
Essential Cookies. Required for authentication, session management, and security. These cannot be disabled while using the Service.
Analytics Cookies. Used to understand how visitors interact with the Service (pages visited, session duration). You can opt out through your browser settings or by using a Do Not Track signal, which we honor.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or retargeting pixels.
Browser Controls. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent you from using the Service.
10. Data Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit (TLS), access controls limiting who can reach production systems, secure credential storage (passwords are hashed, never stored in plaintext), and regular security reviews. No system is completely secure. If we discover a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and any applicable regulators within the timeframes required by law.
11. Children's Privacy
ReadyTrack is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
12. Third-Party Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party platforms (e.g., Stripe for payments, social login providers). These services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. We encourage you to review their policies before providing them with your information.
13. Marketing Communications
We send transactional emails (purchase confirmations, export notifications) as part of the Service. We will only send promotional emails if you opt in. Every promotional email includes an unsubscribe link. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional messages related to your account or purchases.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
15. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or want to exercise your privacy rights:
- Email: [email protected]
- Website: https://readytrack.app/
We aim to respond to all privacy-related inquiries within 30 days. If you are in the EEA and believe your data protection rights have not been addressed, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
